We've done all the work we set out to on this cruise now we have a heading of 123º towards Bergen. The ship is steaming at around 14 knots like a horse heading home to the barn. I brought a small spruce tree with me on the cruise. It has sat in my cabin perched next to my porthole. I frequently took it out on deck for sun and fun. It does not look as healthy as it did when I first uprooted it from the top of Mt. Fløyen in Bergen. I wrote a small poem about it.

"I Took A Tree To Sea"

I took a tree to sea
So it could see like me
The oceans free and flowing
Their depths unknown, unshowing
But a tree is not happy or at home on the sea
The difference between my small tree and me
