Scientist in Training

Maria and I had our first night of training. It was an experience! The tanks were located outside of the marine lab in the cold, windy 50° Bodega weather. Since the fish we are studying are nocturnal, we were working in the dark most of the night. We were able to use red lights for a bit of illumination, however, it was still not an ideal lighting situation. In fact, it was so hard to see I stumbled over a small wooden bench. I was totally embarrassed by the situation. I fear I will not live down that incident for the next several days.
