| Research Objectives: | Hydrographic surveys for the primary purpose of updating nautical charts. Hydrographic data is collected using multibeam echosounders that are mounted on the ship and small survey launches. Sea floor sediment samples will be collected to help determine the bottom characteristics, data which are also included on the nautical charts. |
