| Research Experience: | Sumatra Earthquake and Tsunami Offshore Survey (SEATOS) |
| Research Objectives: | Exploration of the seafloor off the coast of Sumatra to better understand the forces that led to the 2004 Asian tsunami. Survey the seabed (using geophysical survey tools, a deep-water remotely operated vehicle, and high-resolution cameras) to locate and image critical locations where the seabed moved and generated the tsunami. |
